While studying at Parsons, I discovered Saori handweaving. A technique that ignited my passion for fiber arts and sparked a journey of connecting with my heritage as a first-generation Filipino-Japanese American.

My life’s work often explores two themes: “How can waste be a source of abundance?” and “What does it mean to be Asian American?” I consistently draw from cultural concepts such as Japanese wabi-Sabi, the idea of perfectly imperfect, and Filipino Bayanihan, helping without expectation. My current work focuses on addressing fast fashion, heritage, and climate advocacy.
